Cabbage Leaf Soup Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 cups cabbage leaves (chopped)
  • 1 small cabbage head (chopped, optional)
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 medium potato (peeled and diced)
  • 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • 1/2 cup milk or coconut milk (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pot, add onions and garlic, and sauté until soft.
  2. Stir in turmeric and cumin.
  3. Add cabbage leaves, chopped cabbage, and potatoes. Sauté for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in the broth, bring to a boil, then simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Blend until smooth using an immersion or regular blender.
  6. Stir in milk or coconut milk (optional).
  7. Season with salt and pepper, then serve warm.

Variations:

  • Add carrots or celery for extra nutrients.
  • Use ginger for an immune-boosting touch.
  • Top with toasted nuts or seeds for crunch.
